The NorSun Production Process

NorSun produces single crystal silicon ingots from high purity grade (>99.9999%) silicon raw material. The ingot is subsequently shaped into square blocks and cut into thin (<0.2 mm) wafers. The wafer end product is cleaned through an automated washing line, packed and shipped to our customers.

The process of pulling single crystal ingots from molten metal is known as the Czochralski process.

Through extensive technology collaboration agreements, NorSun has secured access to key technology required to industrialise, operate and optimise this production process.

The NorSun high quality silicon wafers will eventually be made into solar cells and high efficiency solar panel modules by our customers.
