PRODUCTION FACILITIES

NorSun operates state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities with further expansion plans.

 

NORSUN ÅRDAL (Norway)

- Production of monocrystalline ingots and wafers

- Current production capacity in excess of 250 MWp

- 70 pullers and 16 wire saws

- 233 employees

- Construction started in June 2007 and commercial production began in Q2 2008

NEW VANTAA (Finland)

- Production of monocrystalline ingots

- Current production capacity in excess of 30 MWp

- 10 crystal pullers in operation

- Okmetic personnel only

- The plant is owned and operated by Okmetic, while crystal pulling equipment is owned by NorSun

- Production began in Q4 2007

 

NORSUN JURONG (Singapore)

- Production of mono-crystalline ingots, wafers

- Expected capacity of over 500 MWp in phase 1 in 2013

- The production facilities are planned in two phases:

- Phase 1: planned capacity of approximately 100 pullers and corresponding sawing capacity 

- Phase 2: the site has room for doubling the phase 1 capacity

- Approximately 310 employees when fully developed in phase 1

- Construction started in August 2008 (postponed in November 2008)
